State Protective Services is a state-level protective security and law enforcement agency responsible for safeguarding government facilities, designated civic properties, and responding to qualifying commercial security incidents.
SPS personnel are sworn peace officers under state authority. The agency operates independently of local law enforcement while coordinating when necessary to ensure public safety and institutional continuity.
